Our systematic review presented at IFSSH-IFSHT meeting in Berlin
Study compared published evidence on conservative and operative management of the finger flexion contractures, a common and treatable joint deformity.
Very privileged to have had the opportunity to present our systematic review on the management of proximal interphalangeal joint (PIPJ) stiffness at the Joint IFSSH & IFSHT Congress in Berlin. A big thank you to Ms Caroline B Hing and Ms Sonja Cerovac for supervising me throughout this project. Next we hope to use current evidence as a base for prospective studies in managing the difficult problem of finger flexion deformities after Phalangeal Fractures and Dupuytren’s Contracture as well as Flexor Tendon Injuries.
As lockdown restrictions ease off, we are able to welcome new and follow up patients again.
